The European Commission dates the launch of RAISE AI in Science Enablers to October 15 at the Dublin AI in Science Summit. The initiative brings together industrial and philanthropic organisations pledging resources, expertise and collaboration for European research. It is a framework of commitments, not an automatic entitlement to a specified quantity of GPUs.
NVIDIA describes contributions spanning tools and models, compute and cloud resources, training and collaborative projects. One concretely accessible element is the new Deep Learning Institute courseware hub: downloadable, openly licensed materials with no enrollment, fees or deadline, according to NVIDIA. Individual resource licences still apply; this does not make every training product or certification free.
Routes to compute include European AI Factories, cloud partners and the Inception programme. Existing collaborations in France and Spain are examples, not all new openings on October 15. For a laboratory, the practical distinction is between available teaching materials, applications to a programme and infrastructure still being developed. The European scope includes Belgium without guaranteeing eligibility or immediate capacity for every applicant.
