Gemini Enterprise expands connectors, models and MCP citations

GoogleAgents and applications

Workflow Builder adds Microsoft Teams, Notion and Salesforce on October 13, then Confluence Data Center and Jira Data Center on October 16, for data search and action automation. Access depends on tenant connections and permissions; these are not consumer features open to every Gemini account.

Feature release / rollout

Workflow Builder adds Microsoft Teams, Notion and Salesforce on October 13, then Confluence Data Center and Jira Data Center on October 16, for data search and action automation. Access depends on tenant connections and permissions; these are not consumer features open to every Gemini account.

On October 14, Gemini 3.8 Flash becomes generally available in europe-west2, with at-rest residency and ML processing in the United Kingdom, enabled by default in that region’s web app. This UK provision is not European Union residency or processing in Belgium.

On October 15, administrators can enable Claude Opus 5.5 and Sonnet 5.5 in the Gemini Enterprise app, in GA, in global, us and eu with pay-as-you-go billing. App availability is separate from the Claude access announced on October 8 for developer tools; it is not the launch of new Anthropic models.

On October 16, citation_mappings becomes generally available in the REST API for custom MCP data stores. The parameter configures citation chips in answers using a server’s tools. This is a source-presentation control, not automatic proof of truth or confirmation of other Workspace announcements.
