On October 14, Meta published findings from a YouGov study it commissioned among almost 4,000 small-business owners in nine Asia-Pacific markets. Among respondents, 84% say they use AI and 76% report a positive productivity impact. These percentages describe that sample, not all businesses worldwide or Belgium.
Reported uses range from content creation and local marketing to translation and customer support. The same survey finds 86% want more guidance on gaining AI’s benefits, with cost among the barriers to training. The result is therefore as much about support needs as reported adoption.
The evidence remains a self-reported survey funded by a supplier with an interest in wider adoption. An owner perceiving a gain is not an instrumented productivity measurement, and the comparison does not show that AI causes revenue growth. The survey illuminates expectations and practices, not a guaranteed return from a tool or training course.
